Houston's Khruangbin making live NYC debut before SXSW (win tix!), touring Europe w/ Father John Misty

Houston trio Khruangbin make hard to categorize but easy to like music, mixing R&B, ’60s Thai pop, psych, surf, afrobeat, and more into one cohesive, chilled-out, groovy sound. The band’s 2015 album, The Universe Smiles Upon You, was released by Late Night Tales (the same folks who put out the LNT compilations) and you can stream the whole thing below.

The band are gearing up for SXSW (the Levitation showcase is among their appearances) but before that they’re playing Brooklyn’s Rough Trade on Tuesday, March 15 which is their first-ever NYC show.
