Australian band Big White released 'Teenage Dreams' (listen), in the midst of 10-show NYC run
Big White are from Sydney, Australia and make the kind of heartfelt indie pop that is a direct descendent of bands like The Triffids, The Go-Betweens and NZ’s The Chills. (It’s also a little like Wild Nothing.) Their debut album Teenage Dreams is well worth checking out and you can listen via Spotify, and watch a couple music videos, below.
The band are in the midst of a 10-show assault on NYC with five shows still to go, including tonight (4/20) at Baby’s All Right with The Brittanys, Dances, and Triathalon. The rest of their dates are:
Apr 21 @ Berlin w/ Tall Juan, Ron Gallo, Happyness
Apr 22 @ Berlin w/ Scully, The Brittanys, Suburban Living
Apr 23 @ Berlin w/ Pow Pow, Vivienne Eastweod, Matt McKee
Apr 25 @ The Gateway w/ Casey Hopkins band
Tickets for all Big White’s remaining shows (except for The Gateway) are on sale.
