Sydney trio Yes I’m Leaving put out Slow Release back in September, full of hackle-raised, tightly-wound, noisy punk. (Think METZ, Big Black, AmRep bands.) You can stream it and check out a video below.
Yes, the band is leaving Australia to play SXSW next month and will be touring the rest of the US as well. Their tour starts here in NYC with three shows: The Flat on Wednesday (3/4) with Crystal Voyager, The Children, and Reid Reiter: then The Gutter on Friday, March 6 with Law$uits, Mystery Channels, and Chamber of Discipline; and Cake Shop on March 7 with Willful Boys and Consolidated Plastics.
