Brooklyn’s Aye Nako, who unfortunately dropped off last weekend’s Brooklyn Night Bazaar show at the last minute, will give us two chances to see them this week. Ahead of Friday’s She Shreds showcase at Knitting Factory (4/3) with Mirah, Mal Blum, Worriers, Slothrust and DJ SAD 13 (Sadie of Speedy Ortiz) (tickets), they headline a smaller show tonight.

Tonight’s show is at Silent Barn (4/2) with Chicago’s Earth Girls, Boston’s Fleabite, and fellow Brooklyn bands Arm Candy and Alice. Doors are at 8 PM and admission is $7. No other Aye Nako dates announced at the moment.

In related news, Aye Nako drummer Angie Boylan is also in the hardcore band Sorrows, who released a ripping 5-song demo last summer, recorded by Swearin’s Kyle Gilbride (who’s also recorded Waxahatchee, Radiator Hospital, Field Mouse and others). If you haven’t heard that, it’s recommended and you can download it (name your price) at bandcamp or stream it below.
