Baby Dee released a new album (ft. Colin Stetson & others), celebrating in NYC tonight
Baby Dee, who’s collaborated with Antony, toured with Swans, and done a lot of other cool stuff, released the followup to her Andrew WK-produced 2011 album, Regifted Light, this week. It’s called I Am A Stick, and has more cool collaborators including Colin Stetson (Arcade Fire, Bon Iver) on sax, Bonnie “Prince Billy” collaborator Alex Neilson on drums, Josephine Foster collaborator and husband Victor Herrero on guitar, cellist Laura Moody (who’s also on the new Hot Chip album), and more. Baby Dee will celebrate the new album in NYC TONIGHT (6/3) at Joe’s Pub with Dorit Chrysler. Tickets are available. No other dates announced at the moment.
Speaking of Colin Stetson, he’s about to begin a tour with Sarah Neufeld in support of their new collaborative album.
