Band of Horses recording new album, playing shows

Band of Horses are currently at producer Wolfgang Zimmerman’s Rialto Row studio working on their sixth album, the followup to 2016’s Why Are You OK. The above pic of the sessions was posted by the Rialto Row Instagram three days ago, and BOH also posted their own teaser that same day (see below).

While details on the next album are TBA and a tour probably is too, BOH have begun announcing some 2018 shows, including Mexico’s Pal Norte Festival, Charleston’s High Water Festival, and Iowa’s Hinterland Festival. They’ve also revealed their first headlining date of 2018: Asbury Park’s Stone Pony Summer Stage on August 14. Tickets go on sale Friday (3/9) at 10 AM with presales starting Tuesday (3/6) at 10 AM.

Last year, Band of Horses’ great sophomore album Cease To Begin turned 10 and they played the album in full at their New Year’s Eve run in Atlanta. Watch them play “No One’s Gonna Love You” from that show, below.
