Baroness release “In Studio” video for ‘Yellow & Green’ (watch)
Baroness at Terminal 5 (more by Joe McCabe)
Baroness‘s Yellow & Green is on the way via Relapse Records (due on July 17th, preorder) and like every album before it, this ever-changing band is spreading their wings even further from previous output. While Red and Blue were not afraid to show their true melodic colors amidst the riffing, Yellow & Green proudly flaunts its melodies as the centerpoint, letting big guitars come when they may. I hear bits of Mogwai, Minus the Bear, and Pink Floyd along the way, while wholly acoustic songs and even post-punk all make pit stops in this journey. But don’t worry, Baroness’s distinct roar and dueling leads make their fair share of appearances. On occasion.
