Bat Boy

Bat Boy (mem Spraynard, Sundials) have a bloody new video, touring after FEST

While Spraynard guitarist Pat Graham is now busy in Big Nothing, bassist Jake Guralnik is spending time in the band Bat Boy, which also includes Sundials drummer Cory Chubb, and singer Hannah Eagle. Like Spraynard and Sundials once were (and like Big Nothing also is), they’re signed to Asian Man Records, and their debut EP Couldn’t Keep Up came out on the label earlier this year (order yours). Bat Boy have some of Spraynard’s ’90s-style pop punk, some of Sundials’ indie/alt rock, and Hannah’s voice gives Bat Boy a smoother, cleaner sound than the basement-band vibes of their related groups. That said, Bat Boy honor their basement band roots in the new video for “Pinata Break,” which is also full of tons of fake blood. That video premieres in this post and you can watch it, along with a stream of the EP, below.

Bat Boy play The Fest this weekend, and then they head out on tour with another of Jake Guralnik’s bands, Doll Baby. That tour includes a Brooklyn show at East Williamsburg Econolodge on November 10. All dates are listed below.
