Battles guitarist/keyboardist Ian Williams selling off lots of old gear online
Vibrant math rockers Battles are gearing up to release their fourth LP Juice B Crypts next month, and before the band heads out on tour in support of the new record, they’ll be moving studios and parting ways with lots of old gear. Guitarist and keyboardist Ian Williams has decided to sell off a number of old guitar amps, pedals, loopers, and other related gear online, which means if you’ve ever wanted to replicate the unique, distinct guitar tones heard on the band’s past records like Mirrored and Gloss Drop, you can now at least use some of the exact some equipment. Musical skill not included.
The gear being sold was used while recording and touring the band’s previous three albums. Some of these items have been already sold, so act fast if you’re willing to bring a piece of Battles history into your studio. You can view all these items on the band’s Reverb.com site.
Battles’ fall tour begins in South America next month, before they head to North America in December. They’ll stop at Brooklyn’s Music Hall of Williamsburg on December 10 (tickets). You can find all updated dates, and revisit Battles’ recent single, “Titanium 2 Step,” featuring vocals from Sal Principato, below.
