Battles share double single ft. Xenia Rubinos (listen)

Experimental math rock greats Battles are releasing their fourth album Juice B Crypts on October 18 via Warp, and it sees the current core duo of Ian Williams and John Stanier joined by Shabazz Palaces, Tune-Yards, Yes vocalist Jon Anderson, Xenia Rubinos, and others. Xenia Rubinos is on the just-released double-single “A Loop So Nice They Played It Twice,” which is as chaotic and strangely addictive as you’d probably expect from a collab like this. It’s technically split up into two songs — “A Loop So Nice…” and “They Played It Twice” (ft. Xenia Rubinos) — but it’s really worth listening to the whole thing as if it was one long song. Listen below.

As mentioned, the band’s tour hits Brooklyn on December 10 at Music Hall of Williamsburg (tickets).

Ian Williams is also selling some old gear.
