Bauhaus @ Hollywood Palladium Night 2 (video, setlist, pics)

The reanimated Bauhaus were back for their second show in 13 years and second straight night at the Hollywood Palladium on Monday (11/4). The setlist was almost identical to Sunday’s show, opening with a cover of John Cale’s “Rosegarden Funeral of Sores” and then launching into a parade of goth classics including “In the Flat Field,” “Kick in the Eye,” “She’s in Parties,” “Stigmata Martyr” and, of course, “Bela Lugosi’s Dead,” as well as the encore of Iggy Pop’s “Sister Midnight” and their famed covers of T-Rex’s “Telegram Sam” and Bowie’s “Ziggy Stardust.” They did play one more song than on Sunday — “The Passion of Lovers” from 1981’s Mask (which was on Sunday’s printed setlist but skipped).

Like on Sunday (pics), L.A. trio Automatic (which includes Bauhaus member Kevin Haskins’ daughter, Lola, on drums) opened the show. Check out a few instagram pics, videos of “Bela Lugosi’s Dead” and “In the Flat Field” and the setlist from Monday’s show, below.

Bauhaus will be back for one more Palladium show on December 1 and there are a (very) few tickets left. Will they do more shows? Stay tuned, but frontman Peter Murphy will be in NYC for his rescheduled Le Poisson Rouge shows in January.
