Beach Fossils, Nothing, Sheer Mag & more playing free show at Terminal 5

Beach Fossils are playing a free show at Terminal 5 on July 7 with Nothing, Sheer Mag and Dark Thoughts. The free concert is presented by Revolver Magazine and is part of adidas Skateboarding’s weeklong “Das Days New York” residency. Along with the bands, the T5 show will also feature the video premiere of 20 & 50, a new skate edit featuring the legendary Mark Gonzales and Tyshawn Jones. Stay tuned for RSVP details.

FRIDAY, JULY 6 | 3MC LAUNCH PARTY
Kicking off at The Flower Shop (107 Eldridge St.) in LES, Das Days opens with #OUR3MC, a launch party and group photo exhibition in celebration of adidas Skateboarding’s release of the all-new 3MC silhouette. Working with a mix of hand-selected creators from New York City’s skate scene, adidas curated a month-long wear test and Polaroid photo diary project that culminates into a unique group photo exhibition offering a rare glimpse into the lives of The Beach Fossils, Rachelle Vinberg, Nestor Judkins, Brock Fetch, Who Kid, TJ Mizell, Frankie Spears, Yaje Popson, and Ryan Mettz, alongside the staff from Scarr’s Pizza and The Flower Shop.

SATURDAY, JULY 7 | BLOCK PARTY
The event series then heads into the weekend with a block party celebration at Terminal 5 (610 W 56th St.) in Hell’s Kitchen. Produced in partnership with Revolver Magazine, the party will see an open floor skate jam with cash prizes, live music concert with The Beach Fossils, NOTHING, Sheer Mag and Dark Thoughts along with the video premiere of 20 & 50, a new skate edit featuring the legendary Mark Gonzales and Tyshawn Jones.

TUESDAY, JULY 10 | THE NINE CLUB LIVE
Official taping for a special edition of The Nine Club studio talk show & podcast hosted by Chris Roberts and filmed in front of a live studio audience at Subculture Studio (45 Bleecker St.) in NoHo. adidas Skateboarding athletes Tyshawn Jones, Frankie Spears and Nestor Judkins along with local personalities Ian Michna (Jenkem), Marc Razo (Max Fish) and NYC skate filmmaker RB Umali will tackle a range of questions from The Nine Club’s always engaging hosts.

WEDNESDAY, JULY 11 | SKATE TRIVIA BY USELESS WOODEN KNOWLEDGE
Join Clint Peterson, Justin Strubing, Andreas Trolf, Daniel Shimizu and the rest of the Useless Wooden Trivia crew for an evening of brain busting skate trivia guaranteed to stump even the most seasoned of skate nerds. Taking place at the Epstein’s (82 Stanton St.) in LES, local skaters will be on hand including adidas team riders and more.

THURSDAY, JULY 12 | SHOWCASE X CURATED BY MARK GONZALES
Showcase X, part of adidas Skateboarding’s global creators series, The Showcase, is a community-driven group art exhibition and cultural gathering designed to provide a creative platform to showcase works from emerging artists and talent from in and around skateboarding. Curated by adidas’ own Mark Gonzales, Showcase X will take place at Milk Studios (450 W 15th St., #800) in Chelsea with a special surprise for guests.

SATURDAY, JULY 14 | CITY COPA
As the latest iteration of the brand’s Skata Copa contests, City Copa, produced by Jenkem, in partnership with Labor and KCDC Skateshop, is calling all NY skateboarders. City Copa goes mobile with a spontaneous gathering that routes participants in critical mass fashion from Brooklyn to to the lower east side hitting cleverly designed spots along the way. The day concludes at Max Fish (120 Orchard St.) in LES.

JULY 7-14 | DAS DAYS COMMUNITY CENTER
adidas Skateboarding invites the community to the Das Days Community Center & Pop-Up shop located at 83 Orchard St. in LES. Serving as the central hub and meet-up spot, the “Community Center” will offer a pop-up retail experience offering a range of limited edition adidas collaboration products, a lounge area complete with video games and skate video viewing as well as complimentary snacks and refreshments daily.
