Beach Slang‘s gear and van stolen in Seattle

Made in America Festival 2017 - Sunday
Beach Slang at Made In America 2017 (more by Chelsea Pineda)

Beach Slang are on tour now, and sadly, they once again have been robbed. The band posted a picture of a napkin with “please stop robbing us” written on it and a sad face drawn, and a brief statement that reads: “OUR VAN & TRAILER WERE STOLEN LAST NIGHT. All of our gear, all of our merch, but none of our charge. It’s a pretty beautiful thing to be surrounded by people who refuse to be broken. Portland, we’ll see you tonight.”

Such a bummer to hear. If you see would like to donate to help them out, you can do so via PayPal to [email protected]. Their Facebook post and a longer statement from the band are below.

Beach Slang are set to hit NYC on November 29 at Irving Plaza (tickets). All remaining dates are listed below.

Singer James Alex also just released a cello/piano/vocals EP as Quiet Slang, which features quiet versions of two Beach Slang songs and covers of The Replacements and Big Star. You can stream the whole thing below. Quiet Slang are playing SXSW 2018. Beach Slang are also planning to release a new album in 2018.
