She’s the daughter of João Gilberto, but Bebel Gilberto has been a bossa nova star in her own right for more than 25 years. She’s currently in NYC for a three-night run at Brooklyn’s National Sawdust, part of the World Music Institute’s 2016/2017 season, providing fans with rare chances to see her in a very up-close-and-personal setting. That run began Tuesday night (10/4) and pictures from that show are in the above gallery.
