Belle and Sebastian on tour (pics/setlist from New Haven show with Snail Mail)

Belle & Sebastian are on their North American tour as we speak and played New Haven, CT’s College Street Music Hall on Wednesday night. Stuart Murdoch joked that the only fact they knew about Connecticut was that Keith Richards lived there, and they were like two ships passing in the night as Rolling Stones play Edinburgh this week. They kicked off the show with “Dog on Wheels” and packed their set with favorites, including “She’s Losing It,” “A Century of Fakers,” “Another Sunny Day,” “Fox in the Snow,” and “The Boy with the Arab Strap,” and, as usual, they had fans come up to dance on stage for the end of the main set. Setlist for the New Haven show is below.

Snail Mail opened the show, and pictures of their set and the whole night are in the gallery above. Tonight (6/7) Snail Mail play Brooklyn’s Music Hall of Williamsburg for a Northside show with Lionlimb and Corridor. That show is sold out, but they are taking Northside badges (based on capacity). Snail Mail also open for Alvvays at two shows at Brooklyn’s Warsaw in September (BrooklynVegan is running a presale for those).

Meanwhile, Belle & Sebastian hit NYC on Friday for a big show at Forest Hills Stadium with Perfume Genius and Frankie Cosmos (tickets)
