benefit for Dan Scinta (who suffered a stroke) happening at Union Pool

Dan Scinta Benefit 8_17

As mentioned, Brooklyn musician Dan Scinta, who plays in Wild Yaks and Ice Balloons, suffered a stroke in June. His brother Chris reports that Dan is “continuing to improve his movement in physical therapy” but still has a long way to go. He’s also got a lot of medical bills. To help with that, there’s a benefit show at Union Pool on Saturday, August 17, including performances by Ice Balloons (led by Kyp Malone of TV on the Radio), Wild Yaks, the Art Gray Noizz Quintet, Pilot to Gunner, Ryan Sawyer, and more. There will also be art auctions, raffles and more. The show starts at 4 PM and it’s $20 at the door; more info is here

Check out the announced lineup below, and you can also contribute to Dan’s GoFundMe to help cover his medical costs.
