Best Coast & Sunflower Bean & more added to NYC's The Grid fest
New NYC festival The Grid happens May 4 – 7 and, as mentioned, promises to “create something special, where true music lovers and the music community have a new place to meet, collaborate and learn.” They’ve added some more shows recently, like DIIV at Webster Hall, and another is Best Coast who’ll play Brooklyn Bowl on May 5 with Atlas Genius and Sunflower Bean. It looks to be a one-off show for Best Coast, who were in NYC in February for a sold-out Terminal 5 show.
So far, the only way to attend any of The Grid’s shows is to buy a pass, which are available in a variety of permutations, from full fest to just single day music passes that get you into a particular night’s shows.
Other updates: Neon Indian‘s Grid show happens May 7 at IAC with Bunt and more TBA. Frank Turner, who plays NYC tonight, has two appearances at The Grid. On May 5 at Music Hall of Williamsburg he’ll play with Jesse Malin; and on May 6 he’ll play Webster Hall which is an acoustic night with Butch Walker, Twin Forks and Sam King. Meanwhile Malin’s band D Generation will perform their No Lunch in full during The Grid as well.
