Beverly (Frankie Rose & Drew Citron) share their contribution to ‘Non Violent Femmes’ comp, working on debut LP

Beverly, the duo of Drew Citron and Frankie Rose, have been playing together for a year or so. Drew, who plays in Frankie’s live band (and also in Avan Lava), is the primary songwriter but you can hear Frankie’s influence in Beverly’s first released song, “Honey Do,” which will be on the Non Violent Femmes compilation Kanine is releasing on Record Store Day. It’s sweet — especially when Drew coos the title — and warm and fuzzy, and a pretty great pop song. It definitely makes me anxious for their album, which will be out this summer.
