Bicep touring around Moogfest/FYF; Honey Soundsystem & LEGENDARY GUESTS playing Ladyfag's new residency

London house duo Bicep have been dropping EPs and singles (including one with Simian Mobile Disco) for all of the current decade, most recently putting out the Just EP last year. To quote Resident Advisor’s review of that EP:

Bicep have never been afraid of cheese, and there’s a fair bit of it here, starting with “Just,” a classic-styled breakbeat number with a chirpy synth lead that burrows itself into your head. They go tribal on “Celeste,” where bongos, wafting vocals and some keen piano playing gesture towards Banco De Gaia-style electronica. “Back 2 U (Tranz Dub)” is just what the title says—a dubby trance number, with surging basslines and ecstatic vocal hooks.

The duo also have a ton of tour dates coming up, including US festivals Moogfest and FYF Fest. Right before Moogfest, they’ll stop in NYC for a show at Good Room on May 21. Tickets for that show are on sale now. All dates are listed below.

Two other electronic artists playing FYF are San Francisco’s Honey Soundsystem and Chicago’s The Black Madonna (and it won’t be the first time either have played with Bicep before). Honey Soundsystem and The Black Madonna are also playing San Francisco together in April, and Honey Soundsystem will be in NYC on April 24 to DJ the new-ish NYC club Flash Factory. That party is part of Ladyfag‘s new Sunday residency, Battle Hymn, which begins this Sunday (4/3) with “a special legendary guest” and continues throughout April with names like Kim Ann Foxman, Justin Strauss, another “legendary guest”, Eli Escobar and more.
