Big Ears adds Patti Smith, Winged Victory, Fennesz, Nivhek, more to 2020 lineup

Big Ears has just announced a lot more artists for its 2020 edition which happens March 26-29 in Knoxville. Those include Patti Smith & Her Band, Fennesz, A Winged Victory for the Sullen, Bell Orchestre, Josephine Foster, a 100th anniversary tribute to the Theremin led by Rob Schwimmer, plus Ensemble Dal Niente & Ken Vandermark, Nivhek (Liz Harris of Grouper), Danish sound artist Jacob Kirkegaard, Arooj Aftab’s Vulture Prince Ensemble (featuring Gyan Riley, Maeve Gilchrist, Shahzad Ismaily, and Greg Fox) and more.

Previously announced Big Ears 2020 artists include Efterklang, Tindersticks, MÚM celebrating the 20th anniversary of Yesterday Was Dramatic—Today is OK, Thundercat, Devendra Banhart, Damo Suzuki of Can, Mdou Moctar, mssv (Mike Baggetta, Stephen Hodges, Mike Watt), Sarah Davachi, Xylouris White, Damo Suzuki (Can), Devendra Banhart, John Paul Jones, Kim Gordon, and more.
