Big Ears Festival 2019 initial lineup (Nils Frahm, Mary Halvorson, Messthetics, more)
The uniquely awesome Big Ears Festival returns for its eighth year in 2019 from March 21-24 to its usual home of historic downtown Knoxville, TN. The initial lineup of artists has been announced, including Nils Frahm, Mary Halvorson (presenting her Code Girl project), Lonnie Holley, Rachel Grimes (presenting her “folk opera and film” The Way Forth), Fugazi offshoot The Messthetics, Irreversible Entanglements (aka Keir Neuringer, Moor Mother, and Luke Stewart), and Derek Gripper.
