Big Thief expand tour, playing 4 NYC shows (one is tonight with Yuck)
Brooklyn-based band Big Thief, who played an impressive set at one of our BV-SXSW parties, have their debut album Masterpiece coming out on May 27 via Saddle Creek. They’re currently on tour with Yuck, and will play Music Hall of Williamsburg tonight (4/12). Tickets for tonight’s show are still available, and The Britanys are opening too. Show starts at 9.
They also open Lucius’ big Central Park SummerStage show in September (tickets), but play two smaller headlining shows much sooner. One happens at Palisades on April 29 with Tiny Hazard, Sturle Dagsland and Happy You; and the other at Mercury Lounge on June 5. Tickets for Palisades are on sale now. Tickets for Merc go on AmEx presale Wednesday (4/13) at noon and general sale Friday (4/15) at noon.
