One of our favorite new(ish) rock bands of 2016, Big Thief, played their biggest NYC headlining show yet on Saturday at Bowery Ballroom. They treated the sold-out crowd to songs off their Saddle Creek debut, Masterpiece, as well as new songs from a record vocalist Adrianne Lenker hinted might not be too far off. Sharon Van Etten, who you may have recently seen on The OA, lent her vocals to some of those new songs onstage at Bowery; watch videos of that below.
Twain and Big Thief’s Saddle Creek labelmate Sam Evian opened the show; check out pics in the gallery above. Big Thief also recently told us about the best breakfasts they ate while crisscrossing the country on tour last year. They’ll have plenty more opportunities to find new breakfast spots as their tour continues into March; those dates below.
