Bill Baird (Sound Team) preps new LP: listen to “A Place To Fall Apart”

Former Sound Team bassist Bill Baird is back with new album, Nightly Never Ending, which will be out June 22 via Super Deluxe. (You may know Super Deluxe for their online comedy shorts; this will be their first release as a label). First single is “A Place To Fall Apart,” a lightly country-ish number — Bill calls the style “cloud-seated folk music” — about giving yourself room to fail and rebuild. Says Bill:

A Place to Fall Apart’ was inspired by watching old dreams die away, which makes room for new dreams. When your life has completely collapsed and you just…yeah… fall apart. To let yourself die so you can come back new. And to find a person who gives you the space to finally and fully collapse…. that’s about as close to love as I can imagine. This collapse happens to everybody and I’m no exception. Sometimes it happens multiple times in a day.

You can stream “A Place to Fall Apart,” which premieres in this post, below.

Bill will play a record release show at San Francisco’s The Knockout on June 20 with Sun June, and Assateague (more info). Check out album art and tracklist below.
