The Poet’s House annual “Poetry Walk Across the Brooklyn Bridge” benefit happens today (6/8) at 6:30 PM, going from Manhattan to Brooklyn, closing with a reading of Walt Whitman’s “Crossing Brooklyn Ferry,” followed by a celebratory dinner and more poetry. It’s the 20th anniversary of the event and, as Gothamist points out, this year Bill Murray will be leading the walk. It’s $250 to participate and you must sign up by 6 PM. More details here.
