The Longshot

Billie Joe Armstrong's band The Longshot release debut album (listen)

UPDATE: They’re also touring, including Coney Island Baby and Baby’s All Right.

Last week, Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong‘s new side project The Longshot released a three-song EP and said their debut album Love Is For Losers would be “coming eventually sooner or later. Probably sooner.” Now, as Stereogum points out, they’ve released the album. As the EP hinted, it’s a throwback to the kind of ’70s punk that Green Day were reviving in the ’90s (because of the production style, I get Nimrod vibes), and it’s fun stuff, especially if you wish Green Day would make an entire album like this again. Listen and watch the new video for the title track, below.
