Bjork remixed by Kelly Lee Owens, Jlin, and Lanark Artefax (listen)

Kelly Lee Owens included Bjork‘s latest album Utopia on her list of her favorite albums of 2017. Bjork also included some of Kelly’s music on a mix she made last year. Kelly has said that more women need to remix other women, and she specifically said she wants to remix Bjork “because I think she needs more females to be remixing her work.” Now, after recently remixing St. Vincent (and less recently doing a great Jenny Hval remix), Kelly has remixed Bjork!

She offered up her take on “Arisen My Senses,” the first song on Utopia, for a new three-track EP of remixes from that EP that Bjork released today. The other remixes are by the great, rising footwork producer Jlin, and young Glasgow producer Lanark Artefax (whose music has been played by Bjork and Aphex Twin in their recent festival sets). Listen to all three remixes below. The EP will be released on “Slug Genitalia coloured” 12″ vinyl on May 25 via One Little Indian. Visual artist and frequent Bjork collaborator Jesse Kanda sculpted the slug that appears on the cover.

Bjork and Kelly Lee Owens (and St. Vincent) also made our favorite albums of 2017 list.

Just this past Friday, Kelly Lee Owens played NYC. More pics (like the one above) and our review, here.
