Northampton rockers Blessed State are now just a week away from releasing their debut album, Head Space (due 6/24 via Safety Meeting — pre-order), but you can finally hear the whole thing in this post. The record pulls from decades of punk and post-hardcore, sounding at times like Braid, Husker Du, Paint It Black and still more. These guys definitely sound like they’ve got a serious record collection, but it’s not just showing off a list of influences, it rocks pretty hard too. Listen to a premiere of the whole thing below.
Blessed State will celebrate Head Space with a FREE record release show in New Haven, CT on July 9 at BAR with their Northampton neighbors Potty Mouth, Holyoke, Mass. noisemakers Neoteric, and New Haven’s Oughts (not to be confused with Ought).
