Bloc Party have been playing their classic 2004 debut album Silent Alarm in full on tour for its 15th anniversary, and that tour hit NYC’s SummerStage in Central Park on Friday (9/20). As they did at other stops, they played the album in reverse order, so it ended with major crowdpleasers like “Banquet,” “Helicopter,” and “Like Eating Glass,” and they also included UK bonus track “Little Thoughts.” After they finished the album, they played an encore that included a couple other songs from the Silent Alarm era (“Skeleton” and “The Marshals Are Dead”), plus a couple off their sophomore LP A Weekend In The City (“Flux,” “The Prayer”), and just one more recent song (“Ratchet”).

Once-buzzy NYC indie popsters Cults opened the show. Pictures are in the gallery above, and Bloc Party videos and setlist below.

Bloc Party will be back in the US for West Coast shows in November, and singer Kele Okereke also has a new solo album due that same month.
