Blur reunited for a surprise show in London (watch)

Blur reunited for a surprise set at an East London show put on by lead singer Damon Albarn‘s project Africa Express, NME reports. “Africa Express: The Circus” happened on Friday night (3/29) under a circus tent put up on Wanstead Flats in Albarn’s hometown of Leytonstone, London, and featured over 100 guests, including another Albarn project, The Good The Bad & The Queen.

Dave Rowntree, Alex James, Graham Coxon and Albarn performed “Tender,” (accompanied by London Community Gospel Choir and Rokia Traoré) “Song 2,” and, for the first time ever, “Clover Over Dover.” Watch video clips from their set below.

The show was scheduled on what was to have been “Brexit Day,” which didn’t go as planned, as the British Parliament rejected Prime Minister Theresa May’s Brexit deal for a third time. “Today is a mad day in this country,” Damon Albarn said from the stage, as NME reports. “We’ve had many mad days, but this is the next mad day. If you know what I mean?”
