Bombay Bicycle Club playing debut album in full on UK tour, release early demos

Bombay Bicycle Club are reunited, they recently announced their first North American tour in nearly five years, and they’ve been working on new material. They say the new music is coming in August, but first they’ve got some old music to celebrate. Today is the 10th anniversary of their post-punky debut I Had The Blues But I Shook Them Loose, and they announced that they’ll perform the album start to finish at five UK shows this November. “We might throw in a few extra treats for you as well,” they say. Tickets for the UK shows are on fan presale now.

They also released a seven-song EP of demos from the first album, Demos 2004-2008, with alternate versions of some songs that made it onto the debut and demos of other songs that never saw the light of day. Listen below.

The North American tour isn’t billed as an I Had The Blues tour, but maybe they’ll play some of the deeper cuts from that album since they’re dusting them off for the UK tour anyway. The North American dates were supposed to be opened by Blaenavon, but they had to drop off and The Greeting Committee are opening instead. The tour hits Brooklyn Steel on October 7 and 8 (tickets).
