Bon Iver playing Tammy Baldwin early vote rally in Wisconsin

Bon Iver have announced an early vote rally and concert in support of Wisconsin Senate hopeful Tammy Baldwin. “We are thrilled to support Sen. Baldwin in encouraging early voting in Wisconsin with a rally and concert at Madison’s brand new venue The Sylvee on Oct. 20,” said Bon Iver in a statement. “I’m excited to be joined by Bon Iver to help spread the word and celebrate early voting here in Wisconsin,” Baldwin added. “Bon Iver has brought Wisconsinites together for years through their music, and this concert is a great opportunity to share with people the importance of getting involved and making your voice heard.”

The concert will also include an opening set by fellow Wisconsin musician Chris Rosenau, who plays with Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon in Volcano Choir, and is also in Collections of Colonies of Bees and Pele. Tickets (starting at $50) are on sale now. If you can’t make it but want to leave a donation, you can also do that here.

Justin Vernon has also been busy this year with Big Red Machine, his collaborative project with The National’s Aaron Dessner, who have a one-off in NYC coming up in November.
