Book of Love reform, making new music, playing NYC & Philly

Book of Love

American synthpop band Book of Love were staples in ’80s alternative danceclubs with “Boy” and “I Touch Roses” and some may remember their song “Sunny Day” used in Silence of the Lambs. (Videos and streams are below.) The Philly band broke up in the early ’90s, but played a few sporadic reunion gigs in the ’00s. They announced this year that the original line-up was getting back together (though keyboardist Jade Lee won’t be playing live shows) and working on new material.

Book of Love played a few West Coast shows earlier this year, and have now announced a couple East Coast shows: Philadelphia’s World Cafe Live on January 23, and NYC at Bowery Ballroom on January 26. Tickets to Bowery Ballroom go on sale today (12/6) at noon.
