Boredoms played Other Music, Terminal 5

Boredoms @ Other Music – March 31, 2008 (Tim Soter)
Boredoms @ Other Music

The Boredoms’ Other Music in-store was a once in a lifetime experience for those in attendance who got to witness Japan’s legendary experimental tribalists up close in such a small space. With the band’s three drummers Muneomi Senju, Yojiro and Yoshimi P-We, EYE’s table of effects and a wall of amplifiers taking up half the shop floor, there wasn’t any room for the seven-neck guitar, but the group’s 40-or-so-minute set was every bit as intense and visceral as Sunday’s show at Terminal 5. We have a full review to come; in the meantime, here are a couple of photos courtesy of Tim Soter from last night’s performance. Boredom’s new album, Super Roots 9 (on Thrill Jockey), will be available for download next Tuesday, April 8th, and the CD is currently in stock at our NYC shop. [Other Music]
