Boreen releasing 'Lovely' (stream "Salt Water Taffy")

Portland’s Boreen (aka Morgan O’Sullivan) is releasing a new album called Lovely on October 26 via Good Cheer Records (pre-order), and we’re premiering the lead single “Salt Water Taffy.” “Lovely” is also a good descriptor for this song, which starts out as dreamy bedroom pop but evolves into something much grander. It’s full of atmosphere, string-like swells, and delicate little piano embellishments that really flesh out the song. It’s also literal bedroom pop, as Morgan made this entire album in his bedroom, and this song features backup vocals by Quinn Kennelly and drums by Turtlenecked‘s Harrison Smith. Listen below.
