Brazilian Girls releasing first LP in a decade, touring (watch a new video)

NYC dance-rockers Brazilian Girls haven’t released an album since 2008’s New York City, but that will change this year with Let’s Make Love, their first album in a decade. It’s due out on April 13 via Six Degrees Records, and it was produced by longtime collaborator Frederik Rubens. We’re premiering the video for the catchy single “Pirates,” which includes on-stage and backstage footage of the band. “Since we all live in different cities now, we took the opportunity to shoot the video for ‘Pirates’ […] while playing a couple of shows in Argentina,” said keyboardist Didi Gutman. “We didn’t have a lot of time, so we asked Juan Gonzs to follow us around to soundchecks, shows, hotels and going from place to place. He has a great eye and did a great job at capturing us in intimacy and having fun playing and hanging out together.” Watch below.

Brazilian Girls are also going on a short tour after the album is out, beginning with a hometown show on May 5 at Music Hall of Williamsburg. Tickets for that show are on sale, and we’re also giving away a pair on Facebook. Go HERE to enter. A winner will be chosen at random and contacted with more details.
