Brian ReganBrian Regan

As a lover of comedy, I am ashamed and embarrassed that in my many years of contributing to BrooklynVegan I’ve never once mentioned comedy super-legend Brian Regan; a veteran comedian whose work I have loved since I was a wee lad and whose career has been on a steady trajectory upward since the early 90s. I’ve always admired Regan for the fact that he is one of the few comedians in the business who can appeal to a broad generational fanbase. I can watch him with my 70 year old uncle and we bust a gut. I can watch him with my friend’s 9 year old son and his dipshit friends and we bust a gut. The guy’s material is clean and relatable and he’s often regarded as the favorite of most other comedians. David Letterman said it best when he quipped, “I’ll take all of that guy you got.” (On May 8, Brian made his 28th and final stand-up performance on The Late Show With David Letterman, the most of any comic since the show began on CBS).

I am happy to report that Brian Regan will be playing a massive show at Radio City Music Hall on September 26. This historical event will be broadcast live on Comedy Central as “Brian Regan: Live, from Radio City Music Hall” and will officially be the first live broadcast of a stand-up special in Comedy Central’s history. Historical. It will air at 9 PM on the dot so if you’re not at RCMH (tickets are still available), I highly recommend tuning into Comedy Central.

Brian tours relentlessly and sells out theaters and arenas all over the country like it’s no big deal or something. Thusly, he has a ton of dates preceding the September 26 Radio City gig and a tons of dates following. Those dates are listed below.
