Two very popular comedies about struggling 20-somethings in NYC return to TV soon. Lena Dunham‘s Girls returns for its fourth season this Sunday (1/11) on HBO. Among the plotlines is Hannah (Dunham) leaving Greenpoint for the University of Iowa’s prestigious Writer’s Workshop. (The real UI denied HBO’s request to film on campus, so they filmed around the city instead.) Most of the story still happens in Brooklyn, probably at bars and coffee shops you’ve been to. You can watch the Girls Season 4 trailer below.

Then on Wednesday (1/14) it’s the Season 2 premiere of Comedy Central’s wildly popular Broad City. Creators/stars (and UCB alumns) Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer use New York City as a character, maybe the most NYC-specific show since Seinfeld (or Bored to Death): the first episode of Season 1 featured them trying to score tickets to a secret Lil Wayne show at Bowery Ballroom — as well as a lot of local comedians as regulars, including Chris Gethard and scene-stealer Hannibal Buress. Like the first series, Season 2 promises to have its fair share of guest stars, like Seth Rogen, Kumail Nanjiani, and TV on the Radio’s Kyp Malone (as an employee at Main Drag Music). The show also revisits Abbi’s obsession with Bed Bath & Beyond, which you can see in a clip below. There’s also a couple Season 2 trailers below .

If you have somehow not seen Broad City yet, it’s very funny and you can binge-watch Season 1 via DVD/BluRay, and it’s streaming for free on Comedy Central’s website and mobile app, and you can also watch on Amazon (free if you have Prime), Google Play, etc.
