Broken Social Scene playing 'You Forgot it in People' in full at Arts & Crafts SXSW showcase

Broken Social Scene will be on tour later this spring in support of their new EP, including two shows at the about-to-reopen Webster Hall. Before that they’ll be heading to Austin next week for SXSW, including the Arts & Crafts Official showcase on Thursday, March 14 at Bungalow (92 Rainey St.) where they’ll perform their much-loved 2002 album You Forgot it In People in full at 11 PM. That show also features La Force (aka BSS’s Ariel Engle who is now not happy about being on the new Morrissey album), Dead Soft, Tamino and Baby Fuzz.

The band will also play six other SXSW shows, including the Brooklyn Bowl Family Reunion on Saturday, March 16 at The Historic Scoot Inn at 5 PM, which is just before the BrooklynVegan curated portion of that showcase that includes And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead… playing Madonna in full, plus sets from Charly Bliss, Ringo Deathstarr, Weakened Friends and Grim Streaker (RSVP). Check out their full SXSW schedule, and all upcoming tour dates below.

In other news, Broken Social Scene were just on Live from Here with Chris Thile and you can listen to their performance here, and listen to You Forgot it in People and their new EP, below.
