Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival 2016 lineup (Nas, Fabolous, Talib Kweli, Rapsody & more)

The annual Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival returns this year from July 13-16, and as always, it culminates with a big concert on the last day. It happens at Brooklyn Bridge Park in DUMBO with a second stage at St. Ann’s Warehouse, and this year will be headlined by Queensbridge legend Nas. Joining Nas will be two Brooklyn staples, Fabolous and Talib Kweli, and an exciting newer rapper from North Carolina, Rapsody. Plus there’s DJ Rob Swift and more TBA. Uncle Ralph McDaniels and Torae will host.

The festival also includes the ‘Hip-Hop Institute’ conference on July 13 with lectures, panels and workshops; the ‘Dummy Clap Film Festival’ on July 14 with various film screenings and Master Classes from filmmakers; and the ‘Juice Hip Hop Exhibition’ on July 15 with “the next wave of young emerging dancers, deejays, mc’s, beat makers, sneakerheads, and visual/graffiti artists [convening] on one platform.”
