Brooklyn Night Bazaar‘s landlord let them know that a new tenant is taking over their Brooklyn space and they need to be out by June 1st. The Greenpoint music venue, food and shopping space, where shows are usually free, still has a few shows coming up though.

RSVP is open for a 5/14 Skaters and Team Spirit show presented by DoNYC and Jack Daniels.

Breakdown Brass Band headline on 5/15.

A Place to Bury Strangers is 5/16.

Priests and Perfect Pussy are 5/22 and 5/23, part of a Time Out presented weekend that you can buy an “Ultimate pass” for.

For just $35, the Ultimate pass provides you and a friend with expedited entry to skip the line, and four beers from the Brooklyn Night Bazaar beer garden (choose from Sixpoint Brewery, Budweiser and Narragansett). Dinner for two is included, consisting of five complimentary tastings from Brooklyn Night Bazaar’s standout food trucks and carts, including Oaxaca Taqueria, Crafty ‘Cue, Brooklyn Crab, Daly Pie and more.

Plus, receive a free game of black-light mini golf or table tennis, and score access to our VIP area for the Time Out Live music showcase so you can get up close to the bands. Copious eats, free-flowing booze and two bills packed full of cutting-edge rock? Your weekend is made.

The Jeff Rosenstock show for 5/30 is cancelled.

UPDATE: Here’s a statement from the venue:

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the Brooklyn Night Bazaar will be vacating its home of almost 2 years as of June 1. The building owner of 29 Norman Avenue has reached a deal with a large multinational company that included an enormous rent increase we could not possibly match. While we are excited to be starting our inaugural summer Riis Park Beach Bazaar this Memorial Day weekend, we are saddened and extremely disappointed to lose a space we built from the ground up and poured our heart and soul into over the years. In the end, the ever skyrocketing cost of Brooklyn real estate was something that made staying at this location an impossibility.

A big shout out and thanks to all the incredible bands, rad vendors, killer food stands, creative artists, great staff, and the hundreds of thousands of visitors that made BKNB a truly unique and special place. We’ll miss you all.

We are continuing to look at new spaces for the next incarnation of Brooklyn Night Bazaar. This is the third time since 2011 we’ve been booted out of somewhere for someone bigger with a shit ton more money. It sucks, but that’s what happens when you’re a DIY business in 2015 NYC. But we’ll come back, we always do.

The last BKNB shows will be May 22 and May 23.

Nice knowing you Brooklyn Night Bazaar, but welcome Riis Park Beach Bazaar by the same people, but in the Rockaways!

UPDATE 2: Apparently BMW is moving in to the space.
