Brooklyn Record Exchange opening this week in Elsewhere building

Mexican Summer Records and Mike Hunchback and Ben Steidel of Co-Op 87 are opening Brooklyn Record Exchange, a new record store that is in the same Bushwick building as Elsewhere and Mission Chinese. The store, located at 599 Johnson Ave, will focus primarily on used records, but will also cary some new vinyl as well, and will also showcase books and DVDs from Mexican Summer’s Anthology Editions line. With this, Co-Op 87 (which is attached to Mexican Summer’s offices on Guernsey St in Greenpoint), is also rebranding itself as Brooklyn Record Exchange.

The Bushwick branch has a soft open on Thursday (3/28) and opens proper on Saturday (3/30). Hours are Sunday-Thursday Noon to 8 PM and Friday and Saturdays from Noon to 9 PM. Check out photos in the gallery above.
