BROOKZILL! (Prince Paul, Ladybug Mecca, etc) making live debut at SOB's
Together, Prince Paul, Ladybug Mecca, Don Newkirk and Rodrigo Brandão are BROOKZILL! (“Brooklyn meets Brazil”), and they recently revealed that their debut album Throwback to the Future will be out October 7 via Tommy Boy. Now they’ve announced their first-ever live show.
It goes down in Paul, Ladybug and Don’s hometown of NYC on September 14 at SOB’s. Tickets on sale now.
The group also just released their second mixtape in a series of three, called BROOKZILL! Mixtape #2 – Ladybug Mecca Mix. Listen (via Pitchfork), along with a stream of the album’s single “Saudade Songbook” (feat. Count Bass D):
