Buddy Guy played 2 nights at B.B. King’s (pics), playing the club’s final night on Sunday

Times Square music venue B.B. King Blues Club and Grill will close this weekend after 18 years on 42nd St. The final three shows in the club’s main venue are MYA as part of the Throwback Party tonight (4/27), George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic on Saturday (4/29) and blues great Buddy Guy as the final night on Sunday (4/29). There are also final performances of B.B.King’s Beatles and Gospel brunches this weekend. Tickets are on sale.

Buddy Guy played two nights at B.B. King’s last week, the first of which was the same day (April 17) at the venue’s announcement it was closing. That night, Buddy riffed, and showed off a little flash (playing the guitar behind his back and with his teeth), went out into the crowd while playing, and paid tribute to B.B. King (who died in 2015).  He also brought up a young boy named Eli to play with him. The boy had seen Buddy play last year and was inspired to start playing guitar and together they riffed on Cream’s “Sunshine of Your Love.” Pictures from that show are in the gallery above.
