Burial releasing new 12" (listen to "Claustro")
We last heard from UK electronic artist Burial (the alias of Will Bevan) with his 2017 Pre Dawn/Indoors 12″ for Nonplus (that’s aside from two collaborative tracks with The Bug as Flame 1 and a DJ mix with Kode9) and is last LP, 2007’s Untrue, came out over 10 years ago. Now he’s announced a 12″ single with two new songs, “Claustro” and “State Forest,” due out June 14 via Hyperdub.
Neither song are officially on streaming services yet, but you can listen to a rip of “Claustro” on YouTube below, and as The Quietus points out, Mary Anne Hobbs premiered the track on her BBC Radio 6 Music show this morning, and you can listen here. “Claustro” is played at the 1:10:40 mark. It’s available for preorder via Bandcamp now.
