Billie Eilish

buzzy alt-pop singer Billie Eilish touring in 2018, playing Bowery Ballroom

Billie Eilish was born and raised in LA, she released her debut EP on Interscope Records this past August, and she turns 16 this December. The EP, titled Don’t Smile At Me, continues to gain her buzz, like from the BBC, who included her on the ‘Sound of 2018’ longlist. Don’t Smile At Me pulls from various types of “alternative” pop, including Amy Winehouse-style jazz pop, Ingrid Michaelson/iPod commercial ukulele wave, and downtempo Lorde/Lana Del Rey-inspired stuff. The hook on “My Boy” also happens to be a dead ringer for Maroon 5’s “This Love.” The whole EP was co-written and produced with Billie’s brother Finneas O’Connell, who played Alistair on Glee. You can stream the whole thing, along with newer single “Bitches Broken Hearts” and some videos, below.

Today, Billie announced the 2018 “Where’s My Mind Tour” (which references a lyric in her song “Bellyache”). It includes a NYC show on March 23 at Bowery Ballroom. Tickets for that show go on sale Friday (12/1) at 10 AM. All dates are listed below.
