Calexico prep new LP (stream 2 songs), announce tour
Tucson, AZ’s Calexico will release their ninth studio album, The Thread That Keeps Us, via ANTI- on January 26. “There’s a little more chaos and noise in the mix than what we’ve done in the past,” Calexico co-founder Joey Burns says of the LP, though he adds that has a lot to do with “where we’re at right now as a planet.” You can check out the lyric video for “End of the World” and stream “Voices in the Field” below.
Calexico have also announced a 2018 North American tour that hits NYC for two shows this spring: April 28 at Music Hall of Williamsburg and April 29 at Bowery Ballroom. Tickets for MHOW and Bowery go on sale Friday, December 1 at 10 AM with AmEx presales beginning Wednesday (11/29) at noon.
The band will be in Europe before their North American tour starts. All dates are listed, along with album art and tracklist, below.
