Califone touring this month

Chicago experimental indie vets Califone haven’t released an album in six years, but a trio version of the band — Tim Rutili, Ben Massarella and Rachel Blumberg — are heading out on tour this month for a mix of club and living room shows. Dates include Providence, Brooklyn, DC, Baltimore, Philly, Kingston, and two in the Boston area. The Brooklyn show happens at Littlefield on May 25 (tickets) and the Kingston, NY date is a living room show on May 29 (tickets). All dates are listed along with a stream of Califone’ s 2003 album Quicksand/Cradlesnakes, below.

Tim Rutili did put out a solo album in 2018, a mostly ambient album titled (arroyo) Abstractions, and you can listen to that below.
