Camp Cope's Georgia Maq announces US solo tour with Kelso

Camp Cope vocalist Georgia Maq released her first solo album, the bedroom synthpop-y Pleaser, at the end of 2019. She told us that she planned to tour in support of it, and now she’s announced a four-date US visit in April. Georgia will hit Boston, Philadelphia, NYC, and Los Angeles with her Camp Cope bandmate, bassist Kelly-Dawn Hellmrich, joining her as Kelso. Lauren Adams (who played with opener Thin Lips when they opened for Camp Cope in Brooklyn last year) will also open the East Coast shows. See all dates below.

As for what to expect from Georgia’s set, it’s possible she won’t be slinging a guitar; as she told us, “I plan for it to just be backing tracks off my phone, so I don’t have to carry anything around except an aux cord.”

Kelso recently said she finished recording a new album, but last year she released an EP, Always a Godmother, Never a God last year via Poison City Records; stream that, and Pleaser, below.
