Last year, Cursive launched their own label, 15 Passenger, to release frontman Tim Kasher’s latest solo album No Resolution and reissue Cursive’s entire discography. They’ve since signed their first non-Cursive-related act to the label: Chicago’s Campdogzz.

Campdogzz was at one point the duo of Jess Price and Mike Russell (the latter of whom was also in Maps & Atlases/Joan of Arc offshoot Wedding Dress and Suns), and they since expanded into a five-piece, including Mike Russell’s former Suns bandmate Nick Enderle, Matt Evert, and Andrew Rolfsen. Their first album with this lineup (and second overall, following their 2016 debut Riders in the Hills of Dying Heaven) is called In Rounds and it comes out on August 3 via 15 Passenger (pre-order).

We’re premiering the song “Souvenir,” which is a really nice dose of traditional-style indie rock, complete with crunchy but crystal clear guitars and some really strong hooks from Jess Price. If you dig anything from classic ’90s indie to newer stuff like Car Seat Headrest and Courtney Barnett, there’s a good chance you’ll dig this too. Listen below.

Campdogzz will also be touring, including a Brooklyn show on August 8 at Union Pool. Tickets for that show should be on sale soon. All dates are listed below.
